The convention of the National Federation of the Blind of New Mexico will be held from October 23-26, 2025. Everyone is invited to attend the Board of Directors Meeting which will be held at 7:30 p.m. on October 23, 2025.
We are excited to see one another, we look forward to a pleasant, energizing event.
We are happy to welcome Ronza Othman as our National Representative; she currently holds three presidential titles within our organization: President of the Maryland affiliate since 2018, President of the National Association of Blind Government Employees (NABGE), and President of the National Association of Blind Lawyers (NABL). She is a visionary leader who embodies boundless energy and will undoubtedly ignite our state convention with her vibrant presence.
Highlights planned for the convention include:

Please remember to inform the hotel that you want the "National Federation of the Blind of New Mexico” room block rate.
Pre-registration forms and payment for the convention must be received by Sarah Villavicencio no later than Friday, September 26th, 2025. There will be no refunds after October 1st, 2025. It is possible to register after pre-registration and during the convention, but the cost will be higher, and there will be a very limited number of meal tickets available.

If you are not able to attend the convention in person, you can register to attend some portions of the convention via Zoom. The parts of the convention that will be available for Zoom attendance are the board meeting, the general sessions, the Resolutions Committee meeting, and the banquet.

Thursday 7:30-9:30 PM: NFBNM Board Meeting (all are welcome)
Friday 9:00 AM-noon: General Session Part 1
Friday Noon-1:15 PM: NFB Welcome Luncheon
Friday 1:30-6:00 PM: Various meetings throughout the afternoon, such as the At Large Chapter, SAGE group, Orientation Center and STEP alumni, and public meeting of the New Mexico Commission for the Blind.
Friday 2:00-6:00 PM: Exhibits
Friday 7:30-10:00 PM: Entertainment Activity
Saturday 8:00-noon: Exhibits
Saturday 8:00-11:30 AM: Various meetings throughout the morning, such as the Resolutions Committee, blind students, and parents of blind children.
Saturday 1:30-4:30 PM: General Session Part 2
Saturday 6:00-7:00 PM: No-host social hour and silent auction display
Saturday 7:00-10:00 PM: Banquet
Sunday 9:00 AM-noon: General Session Part 3
